There are several way to review relationship information in eTapestry:
  • For a quick overview, use the Relationships Filters tool from Standard Reports. This will list relationships by different types and allow you to drill-down. This does show the information on the same row, however, this is best for on-screen review as there are no Export options within this tool.
  • You can query for related accounts in Query. However, the accounts on which these accounts are on do not list in the Query preview.
  • The Relationship Export can be used to list the Account and the Relationship on the same row. This will generate a spreadsheet listing an Account and the Relationship on the same row listing for each the Account ID, Account Name, Account Address fields, Account Short Salutation, Account Long Salutation, Account Envelope Salutation, Account Primary Phone, Account Email, Account Contact Name, Account Job Title, Account Note. (Note: eTapestry Standard Exports are pre-defined and do not have options to select which fields to export. If you need to specify fields, use a Relationship Report described in the next section.)
  1. If the needed query is not created already, create a query to identify the accounts that have the desired relationship.
  2. Navigate to Management.
  3. Click on Standard Exports.
  4. Under Account Exports, click on Relationship Export.
  5. For Query, select the needed query/query created in step 1.
  6. For Relationship, select All Relationships or the desired Relationship type.
  7. Select the desired Delivery Options (to open in Excel, select CSV).
  • A Relationship Report can be created that encompassed Query, Relationship Filters, and Custom Reports features in eTapestry:
  1. Create a Query of accounts that have the information desired. (Tip: Create this starting query not considering the Relationship types, as these types are not available in Query. However, to limit the query to accounts with Relationships, add the criteria Account > Relationship Present and select Yes.)
  2. Create the Relationships Filters to consider the specific type. (Tip: Create Filters for each type to be considered.)
  3. Then create and run the desired Custom Relationship Report. (Tip: Similar to Queries, the Relationship Report can be run with different Relationship Exports.)
