Intermittent printing in Altru when using Google Chrome

we're receiving reports that sales intermittently won't print itemized and/or credit card receipts in Google Chrome. When attempting to print sales documents in Google Chrome you may receive an error message of itemized receipt failed to print or credit card receipt failed to print. 

Additionally you may encounter issues where receipts print intermittently or the signature receipt for a a credit card transaction does not print
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Ensure you are on the latest version of Google Chrome .  To verify this: 
  1. In Google Chrome, click on 3 dots on the top far right hand side of the screen.  If you do not see 3 dots and see a orange circle with a white upward arrow, this means you need to update Google Chrome.
    1. Click the orange circle with a white upward arrow
    2. Click Update Google Chrome.
    3. Click Relaunch.
  2. Click Help > About Google Chrome.
  3. Verify you are on version 67.
  4. If not click re-launch.
Also make sure you have the most up to date printer driver installed on your workstation

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Sales > Daily sales
  2. Click on a ticketing button
  3. Click on Credit card > swipe the credit card
  4. Click save > Click complete
