How to query on membership renewal effort

When building a Revenue source view in query, there are no fields available for effort or segment.

When using the Membership Renewal source view in query, all patrons in our database pull into the results- not just those who received the effort.

How to query on patrons who received a membership renewal effort?
Currently, we can not query on the segments of a membership renewal effort within Altru. However, we can query on patrons who received a membership renewal effort, as well as query on those who have renewed since receiving the membership effort using two separate Constituent source view queries.

To query on patrons who received a Membership Renewal effort:
  1. Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information Library 
  2. Click Add an ad-hoc query 
  3. Select the Source View of Constituents, then click OK
  4. In the left column, select Appeal mailing. From the middle, drag Mailing system record ID into Include records where. Set Equal to the mailing effort.
  5. To see Name of mailing: From the same middle column, drag Mailing into Results fields to display.
  6. To see Date sent: From the same middle column, drag Date Sent into Results fields to display.
  7. To see Membership level: In the left column, expand Member, then select Membership. From the middle column, drag Membership level into Results fields to display.
  8. To see Expiration date: From the same middle column, drag Expiration date into Results fields to display.
  9. Click Set save options tab and Name query
  10. Save and Close

To query on patrons who have renewed their membership since the Membership Renewal effort:
  1. Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information Library 
  2. Click Add an ad-hoc query 
  3. Select the Source View of Constituents, then click OK
  4. In the left column, select Appeal mailing. From the middle, drag Mailing system record ID into Include records where. Set Equal to the mailing effort.
  5. In the left column, expand Member, expand Membership, then select Membership Transaction. From the middle column, drag Transaction date into Include records where. Set to On or After your mailing date.
  6. To see Name of mailing: From the same middle column, drag Mailing into Results fields to display.
  7. To see Name of effort: In the left column, select Appeal Mailing. From the middle, drag Mailing into Results fields to display.
  8. To see the Date Sent: In the left column, select Appeal Mailing. From the middle, drag Date Sent into Results fields to display.
  9. To see Date of renewal: In the left column, expand Member, expand Membership, then select Membership Transaction. From the middle column, drag Transaction date into Results fields to display.
  10. To see Action: From the same middle column, drag Action into Results fields to display.
  11. To see Amount: In the left column, expand Member, expand Membership, expand Membership Transaction, then select Revenue Application. From the middle, drag Amount into Results fields to display.
  12. Click Set save options tab and Name query
  13. Save and Close
