When the Regional Settings are set as French (Switzerland) on the workstation, the currency symbol fr. does not show correctly in Donor Acknowledgement Letters. It shows as f.The currency symbol shows correctly on the Gift Record and in the Format tab of the letter parameter when the Show Currency Character is checked
This is resolved in 7.96 patch 13, released in September - October 2018 and applied to databases in Blackbaud Hosting Services. If your database is installed locally, download and install the latest version and patch, if applicable.
In previous versions:
In the Donor Acknowledgement Letter, enter the currency symbol before the Gift Amount merge field and then uncheck the option to 'Show currency character' as in point 5 above.
Run the letter and this will look correct.
